Fatal Turbulence on Singapore Airlines Flight
At Least One Passenger Killed, Multiple Injured

One passenger has died and several others were injured after a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight encountered severe turbulence en route from London to Singapore. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 22, 2023, on flight SQ331.
According to SIA, the aircraft encountered severe turbulence about two hours after takeoff from London Heathrow Airport. The aircraft was forced to divert to Bangkok, Thailand, where it landed safely at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Upon landing, medical personnel boarded the aircraft and attended to the passengers. One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Several other passengers sustained injuries, including fractures, cuts, and bruises. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The cause of the turbulence is still under investigation. SIA has expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased passenger and is providing support to all those affected by the incident.
