Mexico Announces U.S. Friendly Schedule for 2023
International Matches to be Played in California, Texas, and Georgia
Five Friendlies Set for March, April, and May
The Mexico men's national team has announced the dates and opponents for five friendlies to be played in the United States in 2023. The matches will take place in California, Texas, and Georgia, and will be part of Mexico's preparations for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Mexico will open its friendly schedule with a match against Peru on March 31 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The team will then travel to Austin, Texas, to face Colombia on April 3 at Q2 Stadium. Mexico's third friendly will be against Chile on April 17 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mexico will close out its friendly schedule with two matches in May. The team will face Ecuador on May 28 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, and then face Bolivia on May 31 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
These friendlies will be an important opportunity for Mexico to prepare for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will be held in the United States from June 26 to July 16. Mexico is the defending champion of the Gold Cup, and will be looking to win the tournament for the third consecutive time.
